Nadine & Ripley Signature Collection

The Little Folk of the Autumn Woods

Every forest has its secrets. Some of them wear very silly hats.

Important Product Information

✔ Made to order in approximately one business week before shipping.

Yes — this is a real wearable performance shirt.

The artistic lifestyle images throughout this listing are designed to help you imagine different ways to style the piece, but the actual product is the performance quarter-zip shown in the product photos and mockups.

Each shirt is made to order, meaning it is created specifically for you after purchase rather than sitting in a warehouse. This allows me to reduce waste while continuing to create a growing collection of original wearable artwork.

I am continually adding real-world photos, riding videos, and close-up fabric details as each design is photographed outdoors.

From the saddle to the sea.

Designed for riding, hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, travel, gardening, fishing, beach days, and every sunny adventure in between.

Thank you for supporting a small artist-owned business. ❤️

Bramblewick Tales™

The Little Folk of the Autumn Woods

Somewhere beyond the last familiar trail, where the oak trees grow old and the mushrooms wear red caps, there is a place that doesn't appear on any map.

A place where the leaves turn crimson before the first frost.

Where foxes curl up beside sleeping woodland spirits.

Where tiny lanterns glow beneath the branches.

And where the most extraordinary creatures are considered perfectly ordinary.

Welcome to Bramblewick.

A little settlement hidden deep within an autumn forest, inhabited by an assortment of woodland folk who have absolutely no intention of being discovered.

There are squirrels gathering acorns.

Foxes getting into things they shouldn't.

Rabbits pretending not to notice.

And cheerful little fellows in pointed hats who seem to have very important business involving mushrooms, berries, and afternoon naps.

Watching over them all is a magnificent woodland creature.

Part horse.

Part deer.

Entirely magical.

With the flowing mane and tail of a horse and the delicate spotted coat of a woodland fawn, this gentle guardian belongs to a world where nature and imagination have never been separated.

He knows every hidden pathway.

Every secret clearing.

Every hollow tree.

And every inhabitant of Bramblewick knows that when the autumn winds begin to blow, there is no safer place than beside their beloved guardian.

Bramblewick Tales™ is a little piece of that world, brought to life as wearable art.

The Story Behind the Artwork

Not every magical creature needs to be powerful, frightening, or mysterious.

Some simply need to make you smile.

Bramblewick Tales™ was inspired by the comforting side of autumn.

The smell of damp leaves.

The first chilly mornings.

The crunch of acorns beneath your boots.

Warm light glowing through the trees.

And the feeling that somewhere, just beyond what we can see, an entirely different little world might be carrying on with its day.

Across European folklore, stories of household spirits, gnomes, brownies, and other little folk have long imagined hidden beings sharing our homes, forests, and countryside.

Their traditions vary enormously from region to region, but many share that wonderful idea that the ordinary world might contain something extraordinary.

That became the heart of Bramblewick.

Rather than creating a dark or intimidating woodland guardian, I wanted a creature that felt gentle and approachable.

A horse with the delicate beauty of a deer.

Strong enough to protect his little forest.

Kind enough to let a sleepy woodland fellow lean against him.

And apparently patient enough to tolerate an entire neighborhood of mischievous foxes.

The result is an autumn fairy tale in which the horse is not simply the centerpiece.

He is part of the community.

Because sometimes strength is not about conquering the world.

Sometimes it is about making the creatures around you feel safe.

The Symbolism

The Woodland Guardian — Gentleness & Strength

Our central creature combines the strength and flowing beauty of a horse with the spotted coat and quiet grace of a deer.

He symbolizes the meeting of two qualities that are too often treated as opposites.

Strength and gentleness.

Confidence and kindness.

Wildness and trust.

There is something wonderfully reassuring about an animal that could be powerful but chooses to be peaceful.

The Little Folk — Wonder & Playfulness

Bramblewick's gnomes and woodland spirits represent the imagination we sometimes leave behind as adults.

They remind us that life doesn't always need to be serious.

Sometimes a nap beneath a mushroom is a perfectly respectable plan.

The Foxes — Curiosity & Mischief

Playful foxes appear among the woodland inhabitants.

In folklore, foxes are frequently associated with cleverness, resourcefulness, and trickery.

In Bramblewick, they are simply the neighborhood troublemakers.

Every village has a few.

The Oak & Acorns — Growth & Resilience

Oak branches form an intricate natural framework around the artwork.

The acorn represents potential.

A reminder that even the smallest beginning can grow into something extraordinary.

The Mushrooms — Hidden Worlds

Clusters of red-and-white spotted mushrooms bring a playful fairy-tale quality to the forest floor.

Their appearance suggests the possibility of secret paths, hidden dwellings, and unexpected encounters.

They are an artistic woodland motif rather than an invitation to sample wild mushrooms!

Autumn Leaves — Change & Belonging

The forest glows with rust, copper, scarlet, olive, and golden brown.

Autumn transforms everything around Bramblewick.

But the changing season does not diminish its beauty.

It reveals another side of it.

The Artwork

Bramblewick Tales™ was designed as a richly illustrated woodland storybook brought to life on a performance riding shirt.

Unlike my darker celestial designs, this piece features a warm ivory background, allowing every creature, leaf, and tiny detail to stand out.

Its front and back tell different parts of the same story.

The Front — A Gathering in Bramblewick

The front centers on the magnificent deer-horse guardian, his chestnut-colored mane flowing gently around his neck.

His warm brown coat is decorated with delicate white spots, recalling the markings of a young deer.

Above him, arching oak branches spread across the shoulders and chest.

Autumn leaves in shades of russet, cranberry, copper, and olive create an organic woodland canopy.

A glowing lantern hangs among the branches, adding just a little touch of magic.

Below the guardian, two cheerful woodland fellows rest among mushrooms, fallen leaves, berries, and forest greenery.

A friendly fox and a curious rabbit join the gathering.

Bright red mushroom caps punctuate the lower composition, while richly layered foliage fills the space near the hem.

The artwork grows upward from the forest floor, creating the feeling that the entire scene is emerging naturally from the shirt.

The Back — Stories Beneath the Old Oak

Turn the shirt around...

And the story continues.

The woodland guardian rests peacefully among the autumn foliage.

Beside him, a little red-capped storyteller sits with an open book, apparently sharing a rather important tale with the surrounding forest creatures.

A gathering of fox cubs rests nearby, while a curious squirrel watches from the branches above.

The scene is framed by oak leaves, red berries, mushrooms, and delicate woodland flowers.

At the upper back, the Nadine & Ripley N&R monogram is incorporated into the botanical ornamentation.

The composition feels like a page taken from an old illustrated fairy-tale book.

A peaceful moment in a world where nobody is particularly concerned about the time.

The Sleeves — A Little Breathing Room

The sleeves remain predominantly warm ivory.

This was an intentional part of the design.

Rather than covering every inch with illustration, the quieter sleeves allow the richly detailed front and back artwork to take center stage.

Autumn foliage and berry branches decorate the lower sleeves.

The Nadine & Ripley monogram is incorporated near the cuffs, creating a decorative signature element.

The contrast between the lightly decorated sleeves and the elaborate body illustration gives Bramblewick Tales™ its relaxed, approachable personality.

The Collar & Cuffs

The high quarter-zip collar features warm ivory tones with coordinating autumn botanical detailing.

The inner collar reveals additional woodland foliage and mushroom motifs.

The cuffs continue the autumn colors, incorporating leaves, berries, and delicate ornamental accents.

From the smallest woodland creature to the final leaf, every detail belongs to Bramblewick's little world.

A shirt for people who still believe there should be a little magic in everyday life.

Traveler's Advice

If you ever wander into Bramblewick...

Watch where you step.

Someone may have left a perfectly good acorn in the middle of the path.

If you see a fox carrying something suspicious...

It probably doesn't belong to him.

If you discover a tiny fellow asleep beneath a mushroom...

Let him rest.

And if you meet a beautiful spotted horse with a flowing chestnut mane...

Follow him.

He knows the way.

Just remember to bring a little curiosity.

A sense of humor.

And perhaps a few extra acorns.

Bramblewick Tales™

Because growing up doesn't mean we have to stop believing in magic.
