Yes — this is a real wearable performance shirt.
The artistic lifestyle images throughout this listing are designed to help you imagine different ways to style the piece, but the actual product is the performance quarter-zip shown in the product photos and mockups.
Each shirt is made to order, meaning it is created specifically for you after purchase rather than sitting in a warehouse. This allows me to reduce waste while continuing to create a growing collection of original wearable artwork.
I am continually adding real-world photos, riding videos, and close-up fabric details as each design is photographed outdoors.
From the saddle to the sea.
Designed for riding, hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, travel, gardening, fishing, beach days, and every sunny adventure in between.
Thank you for supporting a small artist-owned business. ❤️
Ember Drift™
The Art of Letting Go
Autumn has never been a particularly subtle season.
For a few extraordinary weeks, the world seems determined to outdo itself.
The trees burst into crimson.
The forests turn copper and gold.
The wind sends leaves dancing across the landscape.
And the quiet greens of summer surrender to something wild.
Something beautiful.
Something impossible to ignore.
Then, just as suddenly, the leaves are gone.
The branches stand bare.
And winter begins its approach.
But what a spectacular way to go.
That moment of transformation became the inspiration for Ember Drift™.
Not a traditional autumn landscape.
Not another woodland fairy tale.
And not a horse portrait.
Instead, I wanted to capture autumn itself.
The movement.
The color.
The energy.
The feeling of a thousand fiery leaves caught in a powerful gust of wind.
Sweeping ribbons of molten copper cut through smoky charcoal, burgundy, and blackened plum.
Golden maple leaves appear to tumble through the currents.
Sharp lines dissolve into painterly textures.
And the entire composition moves across the garment like a storm of autumn color.
No single creature stands at the center.
No landscape anchors the scene.
The movement itself is the story.
Ember Drift™ is autumn refusing to leave quietly.
The Story Behind the Artwork
I love creating elaborate fantasy artwork.
Horses.
Mythology.
Enchanting landscapes.
Beautiful creatures with stories to tell.
But sometimes the strongest idea doesn't require a recognizable subject.
Sometimes it begins with a feeling.
For Ember Drift™, that feeling was movement.
The kind of movement you see when a gust of wind sweeps across a field of fallen leaves.
For a moment, everything rises.
The air fills with color.
The leaves twist and turn through the light.
Then they settle somewhere new.
I wanted to turn that brief moment into something you could wear.
Rather than carefully arranging foliage into a traditional botanical pattern, I treated the composition almost like an abstract painting.
Broad strokes of amber and orange move diagonally across the torso.
Deep crimson and purple-black shadows create contrast.
Leaves float between the painted currents.
Angular shapes and sweeping ribbons give the artwork a sense of speed and direction.
There is also something symbolic about autumn's willingness to let go.
Trees spend the growing season producing leaves.
Then the time comes to release them.
Not because their growth was meaningless.
But because the next season requires something different.
Perhaps that's part of what makes autumn so beautiful.
It celebrates what has been while making room for what comes next.
Ember Drift™ is about motion, transformation, and finding beauty in change.
The Symbolism
The Wind — Freedom & Movement
The sweeping diagonal currents represent the invisible forces that move through our lives.
Change.
Opportunity.
Unexpected turns.
The wind cannot be held still.
It reminds us that not everything needs to remain under our control.
The Leaves — Release
Golden and crimson leaves move through the composition.
They represent the beauty of letting go when the time has come.
Not every ending is a loss.
Sometimes it is simply the next step.
The Embers — Passion & Energy
The glowing copper and amber sections resemble ribbons of light or embers traveling through darkened air.
They symbolize enthusiasm, creativity, and the warmth that remains even as the world grows colder.
The Shadows — Depth & Contrast
Charcoal, aubergine, and blackened plum provide the foundation of the design.
Without those darker areas, the brightest colors would lose much of their intensity.
Within the artwork, shadow is not something negative.
It is what allows the light to stand out.
The Diagonal Lines — Forward Motion
The strong directional composition creates the impression of movement across the garment.
It represents energy that refuses to remain still.
Appropriate, perhaps, for those of us who always seem to have another adventure in mind.
The Artwork
Ember Drift™ is an abstract all-over performance shirt featuring a dramatic combination of fiery autumn colors and expressive painterly textures.
Unlike my more figurative designs, this artwork relies on movement, contrast, color, and shape.
Its flowing composition was designed specifically to work across the contours of a fitted garment.
The Front — Autumn in Motion
The front features broad sweeping ribbons of copper, molten amber, crimson, and deep burgundy against smoky charcoal and blackened plum.
The bright forms move diagonally across the torso, creating a dramatic sense of direction.
Smaller maple leaves appear suspended within the currents.
Some glow golden.
Others are deep red or rust-colored.
Layered textures make the colors look almost like painted wood grain, flowing silk, or weathered stone illuminated from within.
The composition forms a strong angular rhythm through the center of the shirt, giving the garment a sculpted, contemporary appearance.
A subtle Nadine & Ripley monogram is integrated into the upper chest.
The design needs no additional central illustration.
Its power comes from the interplay of color and movement.
The Back — The Turning Wind
The back continues the abstract motion with broad bands of glowing copper and amber moving through darker maroon, charcoal, and plum.
The sweeping forms converge and separate, creating an energetic, almost chevron-like structure.
Scattered autumn leaves drift between the painted currents.
Some areas glow intensely.
Others remain dark and smoky.
This contrast gives the design depth and prevents the artwork from becoming a flat repeating pattern.
From a distance, the back reads as a bold abstract painting.
Up close, individual leaves and intricate color transitions become visible.
The Sleeves — Currents of Color
Both sleeves continue the energetic autumn composition.
Sweeping diagonal brushstrokes wrap naturally around the arms.
The distribution of color varies between the sleeves, creating an asymmetrical balance.
One side leans into smoky charcoal and deeper reds.
The other carries more glowing copper and amber.
Scattered maple leaves connect the sleeve artwork to the torso.
The result is a fully integrated design that remains visually interesting from every angle.
The Collar — Autumn Fire
The high quarter-zip collar features flowing abstract textures in burgundy, copper, amber, and charcoal.
Its rich colors frame the neckline without introducing unrelated imagery.
The Cuffs — The Final Brushstrokes
The cuffs continue the abstract movement with warm metallic-looking copper tones, deep burgundy shadows, and scattered autumn leaf details.
Their colors complete the composition rather than creating a separate decorative border.
Every part of the garment belongs to the same swirling storm of color.
Ember Drift™ is a piece of wearable abstract art for people who prefer their autumn a little wild.

Traveler's Advice
If the autumn wind catches your hair...
Let it.
If the leaves swirl around your boots...
Watch them dance.
If the sky turns copper and the forest glows crimson...
Take the long way home.
And if someone tells you that you're being a little too colorful...
Well.
Perhaps they could use a little more autumn in their lives.

This is my favorite of the two I have bought so far (I’m sure they won’t be the last. 😆). Colors rich and will go very well with several of my riding pants so feels like four different outfits from one shirt). Don’t hesitate, you will be glad you bought from Nadine.
Absolutely love the designs with there rich colors. Material is soft and well structured. Definitely will be watching for more designs that I can’t live without! (Already have two 🤗)
Love the top! Thank you! 💗🐎
Absolutely amazing I can’t wait to wear it
I love the shirt. I was really surprised how tight the bodice is for an XL. The cuffs are huge and I really wish they fit tighter. The print however was beautiful!
Love the shirt! Even in hot weather it is great. Definitely size up if you don’t want a close fitting shirt.
Looking for the perfect UV protective top? Most UV clothes are boring. This is not that! It is also surprisingly comfortable. Snug but not tight, protective neck to wrist, but not hot. Great design and colors! I get compliments all the time. I have two other designs and love them all. I wore one in our TN heat and humidity and felt cool and comfy and stylish.
Love these shirts, they keep me cool in this hot sun. I order the large as they are a slim fit and it gives me a little extra room. They are well made and the colors are so vibrant. I have quite the collection of them now as every time a new one comes out I just have to have it. I will post a few pics
Such great colors on this shirt, the design is beautiful and the fit is very flattering
Beautiful design and well fitting shirt. Material is high quality and keeps you cool.
Absolutely stunning shirt, the design is beautiful, great fit & perfect light weight material for hot muggy Georgia summers.
This is such a great shirt for endurance riding! I completed a 30 miler in it on a day that had every type of weather and was comfortable all day. Plus it looked fabulous in the photos! I will say it tends to run a tad small, so my next order will be another size up.
