Pyreborne began as an original acrylic painting by Nadine Ewing, built around heat, contrast, movement, and raw equine energy.

A near-black horse rises through a field of molten gold, ember-orange, and electric yellow, its mane and body catching streaks of light as though the animal itself has been forged from fire.

This piece is less about literal realism and more about presence.

The lifted head, tense neck, sharp eye, and sweeping mane create the feeling of something powerful waking up—not calm, not tame, not decorative. Alive.
