Yes—this is a real, wearable performance shirt.
The artistic lifestyle images throughout this listing are designed to help you imagine different ways to style the piece. The actual product is the performance quarter-zip shown in the product photos and mockups.
Each shirt is individually made to order, meaning it is created specifically for you after purchase rather than sitting in a warehouse. This allows me to avoid producing unnecessary inventory while continuing to develop a growing collection of original wearable artwork.
I am continually adding real-world photos, riding videos, and close-up fabric details as each design is photographed outdoors.
From the saddle to the sea.
Designed for riding, hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, travel, gardening, fishing, beach days, and every sunny adventure in between.

Soul Unbound™
For the Horses Who Carried More
Some days, you arrive at the barn carrying more than anyone can see.
The unfinished thoughts. The weight of a difficult day. The things you cannot quite explain, even to yourself.
Then a familiar head turns toward you.
You rest a hand against a warm neck. You hear the quiet rhythm of breathing, the rustle of hay, the ordinary sounds of a place where you do not have to have everything figured out.
Nothing about the rest of your life has suddenly changed.
But something inside you begins to soften.
Soul Unbound™ began with a feeling I wanted to make visible: what being with horses feels like inside my mind.
On the front, a woman sits folded into herself, surrounded by fractured stone, tangled roots, and the muted colors of a world that has grown heavy. A horse lowers its head beside her, offering a quiet presence within the darkness.
On the back, the composition opens into light.
Her face lifts. Her arm extends. Golden movement flows between her and the horse, while flowers emerge among the roots and the surrounding world begins to bloom.
Her story has not disappeared.
She is finding room to live beyond its hardest parts.
This piece is a thank-you to the horses who have carried far more than a rider.
The Story Behind the Artwork
There are plenty of ways to show what we do with our horses.
We can photograph a beautiful ride, a new achievement, a muddy afternoon, or a quiet moment in the pasture.
But how do you show what that relationship feels like on the inside?
That was the question behind Soul Unbound™.
I wanted to create something that went beyond a beautiful horse portrait. Something that could hold both the heaviness we sometimes bring to our horses and the sense of connection we find beside them.
The dark front and luminous back are two parts of the same emotional journey.
The woman on the front is not less worthy because she is struggling. The woman on the back has not become a completely different person. She is the same person, with the same history, beginning to open herself to life again.
The horse remains part of both scenes.
Present before the transformation.
Present within it.
That matters to me.
I did not want the artwork to suggest that every difficult feeling vanishes, or that healing happens in a single beautiful moment. I wanted it to express something more familiar: the experience of returning to a connection that helps you feel a little more like yourself.
There is gratitude woven throughout this piece, but it belongs to no particular season.
Some thank-yous are too big for a single day.
The Symbolism
The Horse — Presence & Connection
The horse appears on both sides of the shirt, linking the two emotional states.
On the front, its lowered head brings a gentle presence into a scene of withdrawal and heaviness. On the back, its flowing mane becomes part of the golden movement surrounding the woman.
Within this artwork, the horse represents the connection that can be difficult to put into words.
The comfort of being near another living being without needing to explain yourself.
The Fractured Figure — What We Carry
The cracked, stone-like texture of the woman on the front gives visible form to an invisible weight.
Her inward posture and the roots surrounding her suggest a feeling of being caught, exhausted, or disconnected from herself.
Those fractures do not define her worth.
They simply acknowledge that some things leave a mark.
The Golden Light — Hope Returning
Gold moves through the artwork as a thread of warmth and possibility.
It appears within the darker composition before expanding across the back, where it follows the horse’s mane, the woman’s silhouette, and the surrounding vines.
The light does not pretend the darkness never existed.
It shows that darkness is no longer the only thing present.
The Roots & Flowers — Renewal
Tangled roots and wilted foliage dominate the lower front, while living branches, pale blossoms, and flowing leaves become more prominent through the rest of the design.
Their transformation reflects the possibility of growth after difficult seasons.
The flowers are not there to hide the roots.
They grow from the same world.
The Moon & Stars — A Light to Return To
Crescents, radiant starbursts, and delicate celestial details connect the collar, shoulders, sleeves, and central artwork.
In Soul Unbound™, these elements represent orientation and hope: the small points of light you can still look toward when the way forward feels uncertain.
They also connect the shadowed front and illuminated back without erasing the contrast between them.
The Open Posture — Release
The most important change is not the color.
It is the woman herself.
On the front, she curls inward. On the back, she lifts her face and opens her posture, creating a sense of movement, breath, and possibility.
She is no longer holding herself quite so tightly.
The Artwork
Soul Unbound™ is a structured, all-over composition designed to tell its story around the entire garment.
Its central scenes are framed by intertwining botanical details, celestial ornamentation, and contrasting dark and light palettes. The sleeves and shoulders connect those scenes so that the transition continues as the wearer turns.
The Front — Before the Light
The front is grounded in charcoal, smoky slate, muted amethyst, and weathered earth tones.
A seated woman rests among tangled roots and fallen foliage, her posture folded inward and her skin rendered with delicate, stone-like fractures.
Above and beside her, a pale horse lowers its head into the scene. Its expression remains a clear focal point, positioned away from the center zipper.
A restrained warmth glows behind the figures, suggesting that the possibility of connection is already present—even before the composition opens fully into light.
Golden branches and ivory flowers frame the shoulders without covering the central scene. Dark foliage gathers toward the hem, preserving the emotional weight of the front.
This is the part of the story that does not need to be hidden.
The Back — The Soul Unbound
The back opens into ivory, champagne, and warm antique gold.
The woman lifts her face toward the horse, her hair and clothing moving with the sweeping lines around her. Her extended arm creates a feeling of openness in direct contrast to the closed posture on the front.
The horse’s flowing mane intertwines with luminous strands, leaves, and blossoms. Golden movement travels through the composition, giving the scene an upward, expansive energy.
A radiant celestial motif crowns the upper back, while darker purple foliage around the shoulders preserves a connection to the front.
The shadows have not been erased.
They have become part of a larger picture.
The Sleeves — Where the Two Worlds Meet
The sleeves carry the transition between darkness and light.
Deep violet and charcoal tones face forward, while warmer cream and gold become more prominent toward the back. Twisting roots, golden vines, olive leaves, and pale flowers weave between them.
Printed botanical flourishes travel over the shoulders and along the sleeves, softening the visual boundaries between the separate artwork panels.
From the side, both emotional states are visible at once.
The Nadine & Ripley N&R monogram is incorporated into the lower sleeve artwork as a subtle signature.
The Collar & Cuffs
The stand-up quarter-zip collar continues the celestial imagery with coordinating starbursts, botanical details, and dark-to-light tones.
The cuffs carry the same interwoven flowers, leaves, and roots, completing the composition without introducing a separate visual theme.
From the neckline to the wrists, every detail belongs to the same story.
A shirt about finding your way back to yourself—and the horses who were there along the way.

Why You’ll Love It
A story you can see from every angle.
The dark front and luminous back express two emotional states, connected by flowing botanical and celestial details.
A meaningful tribute to the horse-human bond.
Created for those who understand that what a horse gives us cannot always be measured in rides, ribbons, or miles.
Rich detail with a deliberate composition.
The horse and woman remain the focal points, while flowers, roots, stars, and golden ornamentation frame their connection.
An expressive, year-round palette.
Charcoal, violet, ivory, olive, and antique gold bring together dark romantic imagery and a warm, hopeful finish.
Art you can actually live in.
A practical performance quarter-zip for the saddle, the outdoors, and everyday adventures—not a piece that needs to stay in the closet for a special occasion.

Traveler’s Advice
You do not have to arrive with the right words.
You do not have to turn every visit into a lesson, a ride, or an achievement.
Some days, the moment you came for is the quiet one: a familiar face at the gate, a hand resting against a warm neck, a little time spent together without asking anything more of it.
Let that moment matter.
There is no need to make it smaller just because someone else might not understand.
And when you look at the horse beside you, perhaps the simplest thank-you is also the truest:
You carried more than you ever knew.
